Follow the steps below to get fully set up on Mac computer with your Microsoft or Google account.
Step 1: Open the Installation Page
Open your browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.) and go to: https://bloks.app/install
Step 2: Download the Mac App
Click the “Download for Mac” button.
Choose "Intel Processor" or "Apple Silicon M(x)". Not sure which Mac you use?
This will start downloading a file called: Bloks-x.x.x.dmg.
Note: x.x.x is replaced with the current Bloks version number.
You'll see this file download notification in your browser or in the selected downloads location (this is the downloads folder by default in most cases).
Step 3: Open the Downloaded File
Locate the Bloks-x.x.x.dmg
file in your Downloads folder.
Double-click to open it.
In the window that appears, drag the Bloks app into your Applications folder.
Step 4: Launch the App
Open your Applications folder.
Double-click Bloks to launch it for the first time.
Step 5: Grant Microphone & Screen Recording Permissions
When prompted, Bloks will request access to:
Microphone – required for live audio capture and speaker identification.
Screen Recording – required to capture meeting visuals for highlights and speaker identification.
These permissions are required for Bloks to work correctly during meetings.
Click OK when macOS prompts you.
If you accidentally clicked “Don’t Allow,” you can update permissions manually:
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security
Go to Microphone and Screen Recording
Ensure Bloks is toggled on
Step 6: Sign In to Bloks
You’ll now see the Sign In screen.
Bloks supports login via:
Microsoft (Outlook, Office365)
Google (Gmail, Google Calendar)
Choose your provider and continue below.
▶ Microsoft Sign-In
Step 7: Click “Sign in with Microsoft”
This opens your browser.
Step 8: Enter Your Microsoft Credentials
Sign in with your Microsoft email and password. No new account needed — Bloks uses Single Sign-On (SSO).
Step 9: Grant Access
Bloks will request permission to access:
Your Calendar
Your Contacts
Your Email
Click Accept to proceed.
🔒 If you see a message requiring admin approval, contact your IT administrator.
Step 10: Return to the App
After granting permissions, your browser will ask to open Bloks.
Click Open Bloks.
🎉 You're now signed in and ready to go!
▶ Google Sign-In
Step 11: Click “Sign in with Google”
This opens your browser.
Step 12: Select Your Google Account
Choose the Gmail account you’d like to use with Bloks.
Step 13: Grant Access
Bloks will request permission to access:
Your Calendar
Your Contacts
Your Email
Click Allow to continue.
🔒 If you see a message requiring admin approval, contact your IT administrator.
Step 14: Return to the App
After granting access, you’ll be redirected back to the app.
Click Open Bloks.
🎉 You're now signed in and ready to go!
