How to Use Bloks Before a Meeting

To make the most of every meeting, Bloks helps you prepare in advance with context.

Updated over a month ago

Bloks is more than just an AI notetaker—it’s your relationship knowledge base. To make the most of every meeting, Bloks helps you prepare in advance with context, insights, and tools that ensure you're never walking in blind.

Here’s how to use Bloks before a meeting to feel fully prepared:

Review the Meeting Details

From your Bloks Dashboard or Calendar View, locate your upcoming meeting. Bloks automatically pulls in:

  • The meeting overview (context from previous interaction sources)

  • Attendee names

  • Company information

  • Meeting title and description

  • Linked profiles (email, CRM, LinkedIn)

  • Previous meeting summaries or notes

💡 If a meeting is missing details or participants, you can manually enrich it with tags for people, companies, or topics.

Catch Up on Relationship Context

Click into the attendee profiles right from the meeting page. You’ll see:

  • Past conversations (with summaries & transcripts)

  • Emails or shared documents

  • Topics previously discussed

  • Key follow-ups or open items

This turns Bloks into a “brain on tap” — giving you instant recall of what matters most about this client, prospect, or partner.

Add Pre-Meeting Notes or Agenda

Inside the meeting entry, select “Add Manual Notes” to jot down:

  • Talking points

  • Questions to ask

  • Agenda items

  • Deal-specific reminders

These notes are available during and after the meeting and will be intelligently included in your final summary if relevant.

Highlight Priority Topics

Use Hashtags or Manual Tags to associate topics, companies, or themes to this meeting in advance. This helps Bloks structure your summary more effectively.

You can also adjust your Summary Template to fit the purpose of this call (e.g., Discovery Call, Investor Update, Client Review).

Configure Autopilot (if needed)

If this is an online meeting (Zoom, Meet, Teams), confirm Autopilot is turned on under your settings. Bloks will auto-join and begin capturing the meeting once it starts.

Not sure? Go to Settings > Autopilot and confirm your calendar and services are connected.

For in-person or unscheduled meetings, you can start a Manual Capture from the Bloks menu or mobile app.

Pro Tips

  • Prep faster by using the “Ask Bloks” feature to summarize recent interactions, pull up talking points, or draft custom agendas.

  • Avoid duplication: If this is a recurring meeting, Bloks shows you a sequence of prior meetings with this group or topic.

Final Thought

Preparing for meetings shouldn’t mean digging through inboxes and documents. With Bloks, everything you need is connected, searchable, and personalized — so you can walk into any meeting ready to lead the conversation.
