How to Use Bloks During a Meeting

Capturing what’s said, highlighting what matters, and organizing everything in real time so you can focus on the conversation

Updated over a month ago

Bloks acts as your intelligent assistant during meetings—capturing what’s said, highlighting what matters, and organizing everything in real time so you can focus on the conversation instead of taking notes.

Here’s how to make the most of Bloks while you're in a meeting:

Let Autopilot Capture Automatically

If you’ve enabled Autopilot, Bloks will automatically detect your online meetings (Zoom, Teams, Google Meet) and start recording and transcribing in the background.

You'll see a Minibar pop up once capture begins—this is your in-meeting control panel.

💡 For phone calls or in-person meetings, use the Manual Capture option from the desktop or mobile app to start a recording anytime.

Use the Minibar

The Minibar gives you real-time control and context. From here, you can:

  • See speaker identification as the meeting progresses

  • View live transcription (optional)

  • Access manual note-taking

  • Create highlights with one click

You’ll never have to switch tabs or lose focus—just glance and go.

Take Manual Notes

Use Manual Notes to add anything you want to remember in your own words—key decisions, specific phrases, financial figures, or thoughts that pop into your head.

These notes are saved alongside the AI transcript and summary, giving you a personal layer of context.

Create Highlights in Real Time

Want to mark an important moment—like a deal commitment, objection, or key insight?

Click Highlight on the minibar or mobile app. Bloks will:

  • Take a snapshot of what’s on your screen (if virtual)

  • Emphasize the spoken context in the transcript

  • Ensure that moment is given priority in the summary

This is perfect for surfacing what really matters, without saying a word.

Stay Focused—Bloks Has the Rest

You don’t need to take full notes, worry about follow-ups, or even write down action items. Bloks is:

  • Capturing every word (and speaker)

  • Structuring the conversation by topic

  • Linking names to profiles and companies

  • Preparing a smart summary in the background

It’s like having a personal chief of staff in every meeting.

End the Capture

When the meeting ends, Bloks will automatically stop recording (if Autopilot is enabled). You can also click Stop manually at any time.

You’ll see a status message indicating the summary is being finalized—usually within 30–60 seconds.

Summary

During a meeting, your job is to listen, think, and speak. Bloks handles the capture, context, and connection—so you can stay fully present and never miss a detail.
