Conversation Summaries in Bloks

When a conversation ends—Bloks transitions from capturing the conversation to finalizing your summary

Updated over a month ago

When a conversation ends—either automatically (e.g. when you leave Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet) or manually (by pressing Stop)—Bloks transitions from capturing the conversation to finalizing your summary.

After a Call Ends

  • Automatic or Manual Stop
Once a call ends or you stop capture, Bloks begins generating the summary using AI.

  • Summary Status
You’ll notice that the conversation tile changes from "Taking notes…” to “Finalizing notes…” under the selected calendar event or ad hoc capture.

  • Manual Notes Always Visible
If you added manual notes during the conversation, they remain visible throughout the finalization process.

Timing & Templates

  • Summary Time: Typically takes between 30 seconds to 1 minute.

  • Template Selection:

    • If you’ve selected an auto-assigned custom summary template, that will be applied automatically if there is a context match.

    • If no template is selected, Bloks defaults to a “Topics Discussed” summary.

Summary Editing

  • Fully Editable
Once finalized, your summary is completely editable. You can click into any section of the summary and make changes directly—whether it’s refining phrasing, correcting names, or adding extra context.

  • Perfect for Collaboration
Edits are saved in real time, so you can treat the summary as a living document and personalize it as needed for sharing or follow-ups.

Clickable Timestamps

  • Timestamp Navigation
Many summaries include timestamp links next to each point or section. These links are clickable and take you directly to the corresponding moment in the transcript.

  • Context with One Click
This makes it easy to verify what was said, revisit tone or nuance, or explore additional context without scrolling through the full transcript.

Summary Options

After finalization, you have several tools available:

  • Regenerate Summary
Not happy with the result? Click the Regenerate button to produce a new version instantly.

  • Provide Feedback
Use the feedback option to let us know how the summary can be improved.

  • Overflow Menu Actions
Access additional options by clicking the ⋮ menu (three-dot icon):

    • Delete the summary

    • Reassign it to another meeting or event

    • Convert it into an ad hoc note if not tied to a calendar event

💡 Tip: Bloks is designed to automatically apply the best-fitting summary template. You can always adjust your default preferences in Templates to match your preferred summary format.
