Minibar for Conversation Capture

The Bloks Minibar is your visual cue that a conversation is being captured

Updated over a month ago

The Bloks Minibar is your visual cue that a conversation is being captured. It appears automatically anytime Bloks begins capturing from your devices audio inputs and outputs—either through Auto-Start or manual activation—across supported platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Slack, and more.

What is the Minibar?

The minibar is a small floating widget that appears on your screen and always stays on top of your windows. It lets you know that Bloks is actively capturing a conversation.

Key Features of the Minibar

Automatic Event Tagging Prompt

When a meeting starts, and you have multiple events in your calendar, Bloks will prompt you to select which one the conversation should be tagged to. This helps associate the recording with:

  • The correct meeting title

  • Attendees

  • Company info

💡 Not attending a scheduled event? You can choose to log the conversation as an ad hoc capture instead.

Capture Controls

  • Timer A running timer helps you track how long the conversation has been ongoing.

  • Stop capture at any time by clicking the stop button—ideal for off-the-record discussions.

  • Start highlights or manual notes mid-conversation to mark key moments.

  • Minimize or Move
    The minibar can be:

    • Minimized to your taskbar or system tray

    • Moved and pinned to either the left or right side of your screen

Tip for New Users

If you ever see the minibar unexpectedly, it’s likely that Auto-Start has detected a live conversation. This ensures Bloks never misses a moment—while still giving you full control to stop or pause it anytime.
