Auto-Start & Auto-Stop for Conversation Capture

Auto-Start and Auto-Stop is a core feature in Bloks that ensures your conversations are automatically captured.

Auto-Start and Auto-Stop is a core feature in Bloks that ensures your conversations are automatically captured—so you never miss a moment, no matter which meeting platform you're using.

What It Does

Bloks detects when you join a meeting and automatically begins capturing audio from both your microphone and your speakers. This happens quietly in the background, with no need to click “start” each time.

Works Seamlessly Across Platforms

Bloks supports automatic conversation capture on:

  • Zoom

  • Microsoft Teams

  • Google Meet

  • Slack Huddles

No manual setup is needed—Bloks recognizes meetings on your desktop or laptop and starts recording automatically.

Device Compatibility

Audio is captured using whatever devices are currently set as your system defaults:

  • Headphones

  • Built-in speakers and microphone

  • External microphones or audio interfaces

How You’ll Know It’s Working

When Bloks begins capturing a meeting:

  • A minibar will appear on the side of your screen.

  • You’ll see a live recording indicator and a timer showing capture duration.

  • You can stop capture manually at any time before or during the meeting.

Meeting Tagging

If you have multiple meetings scheduled, you can tag the capture to the appropriate one directly from the minibar—making post-meeting organization simple.

When the Meeting Ends

As soon as you leave the call or the session ends:

  • Bloks automatically stops recording.

  • The captured conversation is saved, transcribed, and summarized in your workspace for review.

Tip: You don’t need to worry about turning anything on or off—just show up to your meeting and Bloks will handle the rest. If you’d like to adjust when and how Bloks auto-starts, you can modify your preferences in AutoPilot > Auto-Start/Stop.
