Manual Tagging in Bloks

sometimes you’ll want to take manual control

Updated over a month ago

Overview

Bloks automatically tags your conversation summaries with relevant people, companies, based on you calendar events—but sometimes you’ll want to take manual control. Manual tagging allows you to fine-tune or fully customize how a summary is organized and connected.

Whether your call was tied to a calendar event or recorded ad hoc (like a Slack call), you have full flexibility to modify, remove, or add tags.

What You Can Tag

You can manually update any of the following:

  • People
Add attendees not originally captured, or remove anyone who shouldn’t be associated.

  • Companies
Link the conversation to relevant organizations—even if they weren’t officially on the invite.

  • Topics (Hashtags/Labels)
Add keywords or themes that help group and retrieve this conversation later.

How to Edit Tags

  1. Open the Call Summary
Navigate to the summary of the call (calendar event or ad hoc).

  2. Review Auto-Applied Tags
You’ll see any automatically detected people, companies, and topics.

  3. Remove Any Tag
Click the “x” next to a tag to remove it.

  4. Add or Create New Tags

    • Type to search existing people or companies.

    • Add a new label or hashtag if needed.

    • You can associate the summary with any person or company—even if they weren’t in the meeting.

Use Case Examples

  • Had a Slack call with a vendor? Manually tag them and their company even if it wasn’t on your calendar.

  • Want to track all your Q2 planning convos? Just add a “#Q2Planning” label.

Applies To

Manual tagging is available for:

  • Meetings linked to calendar events

  • Ad hoc calls or captures not tied to a calendar

You’re in control—tag only what’s relevant, and build the context that matters to you.
