Bloks makes it easy to take manual notes at any point in your meeting workflow—before, during, or after the call. These notes are designed to complement the AI transcription, giving you more control and personalization over your summaries.
From the Minibar (When first joining the call)
When the minibar appears (typically when a call starts or AutoPilot is running), you'll see an option to Start Manual Notes.
Click this option from the expanded minibar.
A dedicated notes window will open where you can begin typing.
These notes are saved alongside the AI-generated transcription, helping personalize the final summary.
From the Minibar (Collapsed View)
Even after the minibar collapses, you can still add manual notes:
Click the manual notes icon in the minibar menu.
The same notes window will appear so you can continue jotting down thoughts.
From the Calendar Event (Before, during After)
You can also add notes directly from the main Bloks window in calendar view:
Go to the calendar event associated with the meeting.
Select the Manual Notes tab.
Write down prep notes before the call, or reflections after it ends.
Why Use Manual Notes?
Manual notes give you the flexibility to highlight what matters most to you—whether it’s action items, reminders, or thoughts that don’t show up in the transcript. Combined with AI summaries, they help create a more complete and personalized record of your conversations.
